Is proselytizing a sin?

If people are proselytizing because they are compelled to do it by their own will, desires and efforts, rather than by the leading of the Holy Ghost then yes, it is a sin. It is a sin to do any spiritual works without God leading anyone into doing it, by the power of His Holy Ghost.
