If a Christian proselytizes to someone, and that act directly leads them to become atheist...?

I think that depends entirely on how the proselyting is done. If I came up to you and threatened to stab you in the face unless you listened to my message about jesus, then yeah, that'd probably bode poorly for me in the afterlife. If You do it with good intentions, then there's really not much you can do about it.
