Do you believe that theists do ignore all the wonderful gifts from the Holy Ghost and focus on petty things?

For example, how does proselytizing , end-less discussions on evolution and creationism, trying to win over atheists, trying to impress with our high moral stand etc. - do they come to anything? Do you just pluck the mango from the tree and eat or do you waste time in counting its leaves?
